Young Scottish ripper Joe Connell joins Sam Dale and Julien Camellini on Team Sunn Montgenèvre for the 2011 World Cup season.

Team Sunn Montgenèvre, the French historical MTB racing Team is preparing for a new and exciting 2011 Season, they are announcing today a five rider international racing team. No surprise on the Enduro and Méga race scene where all riders are back on board: Simon ANDRE, now considered as one of the mains specialist of the discipline, is still teaming with Yannick PONTAL. Anne Caroline CHAUSSON on her side remains the SUNN ambassador and will also be attending most of the Enduro/Mega racing schedule.

However a 100% new Team is named on the Downhill side: Julien CAMELLINI, with two World Cup podiums under his belt will be the new Team leader. He will be assisted by former Junior World Championship silver medallist Sam DALE along with Scottish young talent Joe CONNELL. “I believe we are considered for a few years as one of the most competitive Team on the French soil, so now it’s time for us to demonstrate our ability to perform on the international scene", explains Stéphane GIRARD, the Team Manager. “The past few years have been really good with some amazing results in the Junior category including many podiums and two World Champion titles, I am very thankful to Anais and Rémi for that.

Romain and Robin also got us on the World and European Championship podiums, all this was really great times and will remain as part of the Team’s history; but now it’s time for us to set new goals, this is the reason why we have decided to bring new talents on board.

Julien, has already demonstrated his ability to get on the World Cup podiums, with Sam on board he will have a very good training partner, and I’m sure that both will benefits of this.

As far as Joe he is there to prepare for the future and benefits from riding with Sam and Julien, helping young talents has always been a key point for us". The official team presentation will be held in Montgenèvre ski resort in January.
