Accused barbed wire hoaxer skips court date

Silly sod

Remember that guy that’s accused of setting up a crowdfund for some faked barbed wire injuries and stolen bike in Calgary earlier in the year? Well, he may just have got himself even deeper in the shit as he missed his court date.

CTVnews reports that a warrant has been put out for his arrest after he failed to attend Tuesday’s court date for fraud and public mischief.

Stelianos Psaroudakis originally claimed barbed wire on a trail had cut him on the neck as he was riding and his bike was stolen as he went to hospital. It turned out the injuries were genuinely from barbed wire but they were from him colliding with a fence on private property. Psaroudakis set up a crowd funding page to help him purchase some wildlife cameras and a new bike but internet sleuths quickly ratted him out.
