There may not have been many new bikes at Eurobike this year but there were a glut of new full face downhill helmets on offer from some big players. Let’s take a look:
Poc Coron Air Spin
The Scandi-cool, minimalist look of the Poc Coron may look cool but it doesn’t do a great deal for ventilation. That’s where the new Coron Air Spin comes in.
Cooler, lighter (in fact, under a kilo) and with a new rotational impact technology, the Air Spin is aimed at downhill and enduro riders who don’t need the full brunt of the standard Coron. The SPIN technology (Shearing Pad Inside) is said to offer equal or even superior protection to MIPS while also adding to the comfort of the helmet.
The Coron Air is also a bit cheaper than the Coron itself. We’ve not got any UK pricing but $275 is the US benchmark.
