This new remote is compatible with all B1 and A2 Reverb and Reverb Stealth models (identifiable by the black return speed adjuster on the standard remote).

SRAM say that we’ll all use the lever more frequently, getting the true benefit from the post. On the trail it was hard to disagree with this statement – the lever was easily placed on the bars where you could operate it without moving your hand. Integrated with the SRAM brake lever via the MMX mount left a clean looking bar set up. The lever blade of the brake sat in the right place for one finger braking and the Reverb remote was in a bang on position for activation without the need to shuffle you hand position on the grips. Ergonomic perfection with a clean design.

The smooth action of the Reverb post and the subtle, light action and controllable operation of the new 1x lever design work well together. Small adjustments to the height of the post are now easier with a tweak of the lever. The return action of the post is refined too – without the clunky action of many droppers. It’s a very user friendly design.

This new Reverb 1x remote has us asking what more we could want from this dropper. It’s a super clean design that addresses ergonomics, feel, durability, and adjustment also adding in SRAM’s easier Bleeding edge technology as a bonus. If you’re running a current Reverb and a 1x transmission there’s a very strong chance you’ll want to upgrade to this new remote lever. The aftermarket Reverb post with this lever as standard is still realistically priced and competes keenly with all the premium droppers out there.

This refinement to the Reverb has just nudged the bar up up again – is this still is the dropper to beat? Time will tell, but our experience with this new 1x remote so far is so very positive.
