The biggest question facing any potential buyer of the Banshee Rune is deciding whether to run 650B or 26”. Not so easy when you have both forks and wheels to consider. Some people would say, ‘well you can run any forks with either size wheels’, far from ideal and in reality by the time this goes to print RockShox will more than likely have launched their new 650B fork and it’ll be all systems go.

The rear of the bike is not so much of an issue as the front, with adjustable dropouts solving the problem of increased wheel size. However there are so many interrelated angular and suspension performance issues that my first thoughts on this bike is that it needs to be one or the other. An in–betweener without any clear direction or a versatile 26/27.5 jig that’s fit for a bit of this, that or the other?>>
