The official Whip-Off World Championships took place yesterday in Whistler and it went off! One of the most iconic events on the calendar, the worlds best coalesced on Crabapple hits and produced a spectacle for the ages.

In the men's it was a battle from the off, new school vs old school. Kade, Kaos and Finn were all steezing, but in the end it would be Allan Cooke, the former BMXer and now Sports Marketing manager for Santa Cruz, who delivered a lesson in sideways action, taking the win ahead of Carson Storch and the veteran Thomas Vanderham. Unfortunately, Graham Agassiz took a massive slam. With Rampage on the horizon here's hoping it's nothing too serious and Aggy will be fit enough to compete.

In the women's Casey Brown reaffirmed herself as the Queen of Crabapple, fending off stiff competition in the form of retired World Cup racer Manon Carpenter and Jaime Hill. At this stage, it's starting to seem like Casey is untouchable. Scroll through the top gallery for the wildness that was, Whip Off Worlds.

With only a few days of Crankworx left to go and Joyride on the horizon, things are definitely heating up in B.C.
