Six of the best grom edits
Kids that rip
We love seeing little rippers out on the trail. It warms our hearts to see them picking up the skills we did in our youth, but on bikes that don't weigh a tonne and unexpectedly buck you over the bars.
So from toddlers on striders through to those young 'uns on their first 'proper' bike. We salute you. (Until you start overtaking us that is).
Here are some of the best edits from little rippers on the internet.
This kid is going to be something special, that's for sure. Growing up in Whistler he's had the world's best trails on his doorstep and it shows. Here he is riding with Stevie Smith (RIP) and yes, that is him clearing Crabapple Hits.... at 11 years old.
Give it a few years and we could be looking at another Whistler prodigy shaking up the World Cup or FMB tour standings.
What is it about Whistler and fast Finns? First there was Iles and now Finestone. Finestone's dad owns the park so it would be a travesty if he couldn't rip. At only 12 years old Finn has a raft of sponsors (including Lil' Shredder frames) and will definitely be one to watch for the future.
Louis and Aurelien Coubes (14 and 8) are Commencal's young protégés hailing from Crans Montana. They race a load of kids events around Europe, including the Kids Megavalanche and the IXS Rookies Cup, as well as pumping out great edits like these.
We met the Meek Boyz in Whistler and we were massively impressed. These kids rock. They are some of the best young BMX racers in the world and they have their own downhill frame coming early 2017 - the DH Minibeast.
Eliot and Marti
At last! Some kids we are actually faster than! That takes nothing away from Eliot and Marti though, it looks like they're off to a great start on their mtb journey.
Not one grom, not two, but dozens of them! Lil Pros is the brainchild of BMX pro Dustin Grice. He travels around the world organising events for kids at some of the best riding spots in the world.
