Ali Beckett…salt of the earth. A ‘good man’ that’s for sure. Formally the mechanic of the Dirt Norco team, Ali now finds himself working as the Design Engineer for Nukeproof, working on bikes and components. Great bloke, here he is.

Where’s your favourite place?

Austria, but I will never be able to explain why.

Where’s your favourite place to ride?

I was taken to the sickest track I’ve ever ridden this year near Morzine. It’s a real local’s secret paradise!

None that can’t be fixed with a cup of tea and a Hob Nob.

Anything followed by…“as chips”.

I’m currently swapping between test bikes, but I’m loving my new Mega TR.

Some German fashion mag I found on the boat home from Eurobike.

What are you listening to at the moment?

Right now, Volcano by Dragonette

What one thing would you change about yourself?

What are your weaknesses?

Terrible jokes.

What does the future hold for you?

Hopefully lots of riding and travelling with friends.

What does the future hold for mountain biking?

I am super excited about the whole Enduro scene coming through now. I think that has a huge part to play in the future of mountain biking around the world, and I get so stoked to see new events popping up all the time.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a nice guy who always has time to have fun and share stories with friends, and is always chilled out as chips!
