The Fest Series is back and the first stop was in California for the Cruz Fest. You know the the drill by now - the World's best freeriders hang out at jumps that wouldn't be out of place in an FMX course for big air and good times in a relaxed jam format.

We're still waiting for official photos and videos from Kyle Jameson's Swanpound but until then we've rounded up our favourite Instagrams straight from the riders themselves to tell the story of the event.

A taste of the action (video)

Instagram now allows for longer videos which means we can get mini-edits like this. Sick.

Kurt sorge

A textbook photo with a textbook whip from the Red Bull Rampage winner.

Kyle Jameson

This is Kyle Jameson's back yard so he's the man to go to if you want an unusual angle on your pic.

Andreu Lacondeguy

Andreu Lacondeguy is the King of the Fest Series so there's no way we couldn't put him in. He makes it easy when he gets inverted like this though.

Brandon Semenuk

You won't often see Brandon Semenuk at a Fest Series event but here he proves he can throw down as well as the rest.

Sam reynolds

Sam Reynolds may have been the only Brit out in Cali but he represented our little island with style.

Graham Aggasiz and Kurt Sorge (video)

Just to give you an idea of how big these jumps are - here's a little clip from Aggy and Sorge.

Dusty Wygle

When the Fest Series goes wrong, it goes really wrong. Nitro Circus rider, Dusty Wygle, eats dirt.

Adolf Silva miniflip

We love the sense of camaraderie in this photo.

Jordie Lunn

Lazy style from Jordie Lunn.

Mega train (video)

It's still so surreal watching mtbs and motos throwing down in the same train.

Kyle Strait and Kurt Sorge

Kyle Strait popping out hard on the whip... nice shoes.
