Trek Session 9.9
One of the bikes in this year’s 100 that is definitely earning the tag of ‘high end’ is this Trek Session 9.9. Whilst certainly ‘high end’ in the price stakes, you really won’t find a bike closer to ultimate performance than this. Aaron Gwin and his annihilation of the 2012 World Cup series will most definitely vouch for that.
One of the first full-carbon DH bikes on the market and the first to win a World Cup overall is testament not only to the bike’s versatility but also its reliability, and it reminds us that carbon is here to stay.
With any Trek comes many marketing tags (ABP, EVO, E2, Full Floater, InTension, OCLV and MicroTruss all feature on the Session 9.9) but aside from the technical jargon, what we have here is a dependable and efficient bike that won’t do anything unexpected, one that will carry any rider confidently at speed and will never waver where others may panic. A refined and totally dialled piece of kit that’s well worth the money…if you have it!
