This Lapierre doesn’t just make this list based on great handling and suspension (although it would make it on those grounds alone), it also makes it in because of the sheer attention to detail that the company have put into it. With so many bikes there’s the odd bit that looks like
an afterthought, but with this one everything is just dialled, and in most cases better than you ever thought it could be. For weight reasons, and an almost dream like spec, we reckon it’s worth stretching to the full carbon version if you can, but if the bank isn’t willing to play ball then the considerably cheaper aluminium versions are still more than worthy of your money.
