LAZER EXCALIBUR HELMET
Lazer are probably far from the first name you think of when it comes to full face helmets, but they’ve been making lids since 1919, making them the oldest helmet manufacturer still going, and so they obviously know a thing or two about making them. That experience definitely shows in this Excalibur model as it seems very well made for the price, and it’s refreshing in both senses of the word to see so much venting in a full face. The padding is also fully removable for washing, and at just 995g it’s pretty light too. If it’s World Cup credentials that you’re after, then Matti Lehikoinen has worn this helmet in the past, and this year you’ll see it covering up Justin Leov’s bonce. We think it should definitely be on your shortlist if you’re after a quality lid at a sensible price, or if you simply suffer from hot head syndrome.
