So what did you do last night? In Sheffield is was a damp dreary winters night and it rained. Again. Instead of hiding out on a comfy sofa or flying off to locations exoticer a merry band of mates met up in our local park and made the most of gods gifts; Loam and (bike) lights.
This is Sheffields dual races have featured on the pages several times before (snow and grass) and I’m always surprised that we don’t get more reports of others following suit. It really is some of the most fun you can have on two wheels, it’s easy to organise and builds a real community of riders. Mates racing is as grassroots as it gets and should be encouraged as much as possible, as long as its approached responsibly.
Anyway, enough of the evan-dual-icals. Here’s a great video from last night chopped together by ProTog Rich Baybutt whose work has graced the pages of Dirt many times. Dont judge him by the quality of the camera work though as that was yours truly.
