Limited Edition YT Industries Tues 2.0 DH offer

Billy Thackray Billy Thackray

Buy this YT Industries bike tomorrow only at a ridiculously cheap price!

Seen the YT Industries advert in the opening pages of Dirt 117? Well somebody just reminded me that tomorrow (which I call Spinal Tap day) 11/11/11 you can buy the YT Industries Tues DH LTD WC bike for the unbelievable price of 2888 Euros or about £2469 quid.

That’s super cheap if you add up the spec list:

Marzocchi 888 forks…£1100
Can Creek Double Barrel…£500
Mavic Deemax…£850

That’s about £2500 already!

Anybody fancy totting up the spec list? www.yt-industries.com/shop

Just checked the small print and you won’t get the bike till April 2012.

Hit up www.yt-industries.com

Here’s what they say on the webber:

It’s second time round for our Tues WC Limited Project. On 11 November last year, we only made 24 of our supremely equipped WC DH bikes available for sale and because demand was so high, this year we have decided to set the limit as the day and not as a quantity!

So anyone who orders a Tues 2.0 DH WC Limited on 11/11/11 will get one!

The basis of our 2012 Limited Project is the new, completely redeveloped Tues 2.0 frame.

While the kinematics of our already perfectly functioning V4L rear construction have only seen a little fine tuning, the configuration of the geometry has been much more intense and the tube constructions have been completely re-engineered.

The result: a perfectly balanced downhill frame with New School Race geometry, variable wheelbase, higher rigidity values in the steering head bearing and bottom bracket area and a 600-g reduction in weight compared with the 2011 Tues frame!

Configuration highlights

Marzocchi 888 RC3 Evo Titan suspension forks – YT special edition with red anodised fork crowns
Cane Creek Double Barrel shock
Mavic Deemax impellers with Maxxis Minion UST tires
Sram XO rear derailleur and shift lever / Avid XO/Code brakes
E13 LG1R downhill cranks and chain guide
Renthal stem and handlebar / Thomson Elite seatpost

As well as calibrating the spring stiffness of the forks and shock to your individual weight and riding style, we will also adjust the Rise of the handlebar to suit your needs, and incorporate your name and national flag into the bike decor of this limited edition. A truly unique piece customised just for you!

This is how it will work:

The Tues 2.0 WC LTD bike will be released for sale in our online shop on 11/11/11 from 0:00. It will then be possible to order the bike over the next 24 hours. The shop will close again exactly on midnight.

Your order is binding. We must receive payment within 14 days, otherwise we will unfortunately have to cancel your order. As the bike is customised for you according to your individual size and weight, and with your name and national flag, we are unable to accept payment in advance. It is therefore also not possible to exchange the bike! Our standard warranty conditions apply.

As the bike is produced on the basis of your own personal and individual specifications, your Tues will obviously be in production for a certain time before it can be delivered. Your bike will therefore be dispatched in April 2012. We will provide you with an exact time three weeks before it is due to be delivered.

I wish I had the money and/or was actually looking for a bike as that is an outstanding looker and seems very high value, “who cares if its not a massive company and the worlds best dont ride it” I think to myself, but then i think about it again…..just for a second….. or 2…. and I come up with the small problem, “what if between now and April I become a permanent debtor?” Pretty sure that as a customer i am last in getting my money back if shit hits the fan. SORRY TO BE NEGATIVE.

  2. mr niceguy

come on – don’t be so negative!
Isn’t it a cummon thing to give free credits for months, years or forever to companies, financial institutes or even countrys?

Sounds like a nice deal spiced up with a bit of a lottery.

  3. mad_homer

if you don’t like this offering check out this one:

in my eyes even more bling bling bla for the euro….

  4. cool hand luke

just pay by visa credit card if you are worried, they have a valid for 180 days chargeback facility so if the sh!t hits the fan you get your money back

  5. Jon P

^ Yeh I was going to say that ^ Credit card it and you’re covered :-) I would have one if i’d got space on my card, but sadly I have not!!! Looks like a good build for the dollar… I mean euro!

  6. Hancock

    @Dirt Dodger, very sensible man.
Getting into debt for the rest of your life over a bike is daft, however good value the bike was at the time.
Speaking of which, that is a sweet bike, but I ain’t buying one on finance…

  7. LiL KiMs Lice

…and the YT site is down. Blaaah. And it’s not even 11.11.2011.

  8. joe

Its not down they are are running a lite version of the site for the next 24hrs. (check their fb page) its something to do with their server I think they are worried it wont be able to handle the extra traffic. Personally I would love a YT if I was looking to get a new bike the romp would be at the top of my list.

  9. VonDH

Finance for a bike Really .we should stop buying over priced bikes which would stop the need for these companies to rip us off.

    Not available to Australia

You know it is possible to post to Australia right . . . .

    Poor form

  12. Joe

    ^ Not a real country.

  13. Si Paton

My worry would be if 500 people buy one of these will they be able to get 500 Cane Creek shocks for example? Not preaching doom and gloom just making everyone aware it could go tits up for their availability on parts if the order book goes into meltdown today. That said it’s a great offer so get your Moms credit card out and expect to wait..

  14. Trev S

You can order it and then have 14 days to pay up so if you change your mind no problem.

  15. enri

LOL,the makulu deal ended up in,like, one night time!

  16. Tom

Why is everyone waffling on about finance, are you braindead….this is is the exact opposite of finance….You pay for the bike in full and get it in April. To protect yourself you credit your card with the coin, and then pay with your card…

  17. john

When in April do they ship?
If its the end of April your credit card will not protect you as it could be more than 6 months.

Dont get me wrong I think this is a great deal but in our current financial climate 6 months is a VERY VERY long time for and company to potentialy change ownership or fold etc.

  18. dirt dodger

Hope to see these on the circuit in 2012, i will ride 1 and if they perform how they look i would put my money up for one without doubt, if i got a straight swap – bike 4 cash.

  19. fatmatt

Good call on the makulu!!!! was about to buy the yt, saw that comment and got my dream bike for 2000 bucks off, mad homer i owe you a beer! ps it will be here in a wk, beats april!!!!

  20. mad_homer

you can pass it to me in morzine next year…:-) Think about July/August…Have fun with your Makulu, but I would sell the spank and the Formular stuff.

  21. fatmatt

i will probably be in morzine at that time! so will get you then, getting another wheel set, spank gonna be for mud tires, but havent ridden formula brakes before, most people rave about them, had loads of trouble with my codes, what you suggest brake wise? thanks man

  22. mad_homer

just go for Shimano Saints. Or if you’re on the lighter side 2012 XT is also worth to check. Shimano stuff is really reliable and easy to Service. See you in the shortcuts of the Pleney track.

  23. fatmatt

look out for a red makulu, but i guess u knew that!

  24. dirt dodger

  25. Dave F

What about a Canyon Torque FRX 6.0 speedzone…..

Surely nothing beats that for a deal? Hope not….I’ve got mine coming in March!

  26. mad_homer

@Fattmatt, I’m going to check for the red Makulu for sure. I will be there riding a black anodized Iron Horse Sunday with Rock Shox Avy Fork (gold cap) and an old TLD D2 (pretty beaten up with silver tape on the visor…). See you mate.

  27. johnny

i’ve made a few comments on this with regards the payment, why are they keep getting deleted?
has anyone paid, or bought from these in the past?

  28. Tim

That Morewood is a steal! BOS front and rear, XO, e-thirteen, £2557.
    Bargainus naximus.

  29. john cobb

I have bought one I am going to take all the good bits off and sell them and get my money back and then keep the frame and put on the wall in my front room its lovely frame

  30. john cobb

I am still waiting and have not heard from them at all ????

    not looking good

  31. Jarno R

Why don’t you try their facebook page. There has been 4 e-mail updates about the bikes. Have you not received those? They sold those bikes to 531 customers on a single day. There has been some problem getting some of the parts and the delivery of the bikes will not be until week 19 for the last bikes. To compensate this delay, they will replace the standard dee max wheels with dee max ultimates in silver color. Taking that in consideration I’m guessing the supplier behind schedule is mavic. Or has anyone heard of or seen silver ultimates?
