A great little video from Charge bikes showing what has to be a look into the future of bike production (as we’ve reported on before). It doesn’t seem that long ago that if we’d seen something like this we’d have sworn we were watching a sci-fi film, but yeah now ‘printing’ bike parts from materials like titanium really is a reality. Enjoy…

The future of bike production.

Charge Bikes have collaborated with EADS Innovation Works, the corporate research centre for the EADS group, to produce the world’s first 3D printed frame manufacturing components using a process currently being developed for the aerospace industry.

In this video, Charge’s Nick Larsen talks to Andy Hawkins from EADS, about this revolutionary complex process and it’s benefits over traditional fabrication methods.

Expect to see the first production Charge bikes with this technology in the near future.
