WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL RESULTS

The rain and the wind played a part in the World Championships from Fort William this afternoon

Sam Hill came down in drizzly but calm-ish conditions to set a sub 5.00 minute time with around twenty riders still to come

Punctures ruled out a lot of contenders and Peaty’s challenge came to an end with an incident that saw the Yorkshire mans seat come off.

Hill had stated that he thought his nearest rival was Barel, the Frenchman came blumin close just 0.64seconds off and took Silver

The wind and drizzle picked up for Gee Athertons run, meaning even in an aero skinsuited tuck he was losing time. He blasted into the arena to a wall of noise from the huge patriotic crowd to take the Bronze medal just 4.56 seconds behind Hill
