Dirt Superenduro - Dirt

Superenduro

SuperEnduro, sponsored by SRAM, is a series of cross-country and gravity enduro races in Italy. The main goal of the series is to create a universal racing format accessible to every mountain biker without the need to purchase any special equipment, but which at the same time is challenging enough even for professionals.

SuperEnduro racers ride along the course in a sorted group of friends, replicating the friendly environment of an everyday ride while sharing the competitive spirit of the event. Race locations are some of the most beautiful in Italy, and contribute to a unique atmosphere, as weekend riders rub shoulders with pros such as Davide Sottocornola (ranked number one going into 2014), Jerome Clementz, Fabien Barel and Jared Graves.

There are two kinds of SuperEnduro races. ‘Experience’ races have an average height difference of 1,200 metres and the total sum of the travel times of the Special Stages must not exceed 30 minutes, with a minimum total time of 10 minutes. There are 11 Experience races on the calendar for 2014, beginning in March and finishing in October at venues across the country.

The second type of race is the ‘pro’ race, which has an average height difference of 1,500 metres and the total sum of the travel times of the Special Stages must not exceed 20 minutes. There will be four pro races in 2014, at Sestri Levante, Punta Ala, Madesimo and Sauze d’Oulx, and the series will also host two races from the Enduro World Series.
