Kona Operator Downhill bike Large
Excellent condition – Chain and seat stays have been heli-taped from new. A few scrapes and scratches from DH use and uplifts but no dents, cracks or damage – see pics. All the bearings on the frame are in excellent condition with no signs of play.
I have always cleaned the bike carefully – no jet washing the bearings – after every ride.
The forks have been regularly lubed and the seals greased. Stations are immaculate. Lowers have been heli-taped since new although there are a few scrapes on the tape and left lower.
Used twice at Fort William and 4 times at Innerleithen in 2012 and once this year hence the sale – I’m just not using it enough to warrant keeping it, other forms of biking are taking up my time now.
Rear wheel has just been completely rebuilt by Big Al at Wheelcraft with a new Halo Chaos rim, spokes and hub bearings. Tyres are Maxxis High Roller Dual Ply 60a rear and 42a Super Tacky front and been used once.
No pedals but can throw in an old pair of DMR V8s if needed.
I have obsessed over quietening the bike down hence the Saint mech with clutch and rubber covered chain stay – this is a very quiet and smooth DH bike.
Comes with manuals, new chainstay cover and small pot of touch up paint.
Some nice upgrades over stock:
• Shimano Saint Shadow+ 10 speed rear mech and shifter – used twice
• Shimano Zee brakes with 203mm RT76 rotors – used twice – with spare pads
• Shimano Saint bottom bracket – used twice
• Shimano 11-25 Ultegra cassette and chain – used twice
• Odi Rouge lock-on grips – used twice
• Hope headset – used twice
• Renthal FatBar – high rise cut to 750mm
• Funn direct mount stem
Rest of Spec
